Saudi Arabia Reopens Mosques


The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Saudi Arabia has decided to reopen all the mosques all over the kingdom except for Jeddah and Makkah.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced that all mosques except that of Jeddah and Makkah will reopen 40 minutes before the Friday prayers. Due to the rise in the covid19 cases the ministry has decided not to open the mosques in Jeddah and Makkah. They will be reviewing the situation and will take the decision in future. The ministry also added that the social distancing has to maintained all the time.

Past few days there is a sudden increase in the number of cases, The Ministry of Health reported 3,733 new cases making the total count of infected to 116,021. The Ministry of Health also announced the 38 new fatalities due to the virus making the total count to 857.
